Here's the story behind Harry's Benson's photo of RFK's wife at his assassination.

For my last EOTO, I researched about the assassination of Robert Francis Kennedy, or RFK. During this research, I found an article that discussed the feeling of the photographer who took the last pictures of RFK being alive. This photographer is Harry Benson. He
Benson has taken photos of some of the most influential people in the world. These people include the Beatles, Barrack Obama, Ronald Reagan, Michael Jackson, and of course RFK.
On June 5, 1968 just a little after midnight, RFK gave a speech because he won the Presidential primaries in California and South Dakota for the Democratic party. Leaving through the kitchen, he shook the hand of a busboy, Juan Romero, when he was shot by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan. Benson has taken photos of some of the most influential people in the world. These people include the Beatles, Barrack Obama, Ronald Reagan, Michael Jackson, and of course RFK. After hearing the shots, Benson decided to take photos after realizing that RFK was shot and bleeding out.
Benson was the last photographer to leave the scene and because of him, the people were able to see raw emotions of those who loved RFK.
